Contact form

If you submit a comment through our Contact Us contact form, your question and information is sent to info@shiftsports.org. The content of your comment sent via the Contact Us form is not stored anywhere on the site. The only record is the email received by info@shiftsports.org.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

By agreeing to the Site’s terms of use and conditions and the privacy policy, You hereby give the Outspoken: Women in Triathlon Summit (OWTS) the absolute and irrevocable right and permission, with respect to Your likeness, performance, and participation in its Video and Photography communications: a) To record/photograph Your likeness, performance and participation; b) To copyright the same in its own name or in any other name which it may choose; c) To telecast the Communications of the recording thereof one or more times over any Internet site, station or stations, or to publicize the Communications or any portion thereof by any means, for any purpose whatsoever in whole or in part, including (but not by way of limitation), promotion, advertising, trade; and d) To use Your name in connection therewith if it so chooses. You acknowledge that OWTS is and will be the sole owner of all rights in and to the Communications and the recording/photography thereof, for all purposes in perpetuity. You hereby assign any copyright rights, publicity rights or any other rights that You may have regarding the Communications to OWTS You also hereby release OWTS from any and all claims of any nature whatsoever which You could or might have against the Releases by reason of any fact or matter whatsoever.

Who we share your data with

If you provide permission in the registration form for the Summit, we will share your contact information, company, and name with sponsors of the Summit at the Presenting and Juno level only. We do not share your contact information with other sponsors at the lower sponsorship levels. However, you can opt out of your contact information by indicating as such on the registration form.

If you provide permission at the Summit, we may share your contact information with other Summit attendees to facilitate connection and continued advocacy as it relates to the subjects discussed at the Summit.

The Outspoken Summit will use your contact information to share updates, information, offers, and other related information pertinent to the Summit.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment on the Site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Your contact information

Your contact information is used to manage registration, contact you if there are registration problems, and to notify you of Summit related updates and requirements.

Additional information

The registration form requests additional information from you that is pertinent to the Summit and its implementation such as what receptions you will attend and information about your connection with triathlon. This assists summit organizers with understanding the needs and interests of the attendees to provide a better overall Summit experience. This additional information is not shared with any third parties.

How we protect your data

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as information on the registration page), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

The Outspoken Summit website uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a standard security protocol for establishing encrypted links between a web server and a browser in an online communication. The usage of SSL technology ensures that all data transmitted between the web server and browser remains encrypted. Registration

In order to attend the Summit, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address, Summit preferences, meal choices, etc.). This information is used to enhance your Summit experience and to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest.

Orders

We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information to PayPal (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.
